Tracie Martinetti
Tracie Martinetti was born in England and attended art school in the UK. In 1991, she moved across the Atlantic to New York, where she planted roots in the vibrant West Village. Not long after, she relocated to Long Island where she raised two children, opened a tea room, and became a preschool teacher.
Her love for crafting and creating knows no bounds, extending to various realms such as cooking, knitting, felting, photography, and the unique pursuit she calls "junking" aka antiquing.
In 2021, Tracie moved to the quaint village of Gilbertsville in upstate New York. She has hosted many events that make the Butternut Valley a richer community. One is the Hullabaloo, an artisan pop-up market she organized in 2023. Locals have raved about it ever since. The Hullabaloo was the catalyst for The Gatehouse Coffee Shop which was established shortly thereafter in Morris, NY.
The Hullabaloo also showcased Tracie's creations, bags, and thrifted flannel shirts with vintage graphics sewn to the back that we now sell at The Gatehouse.
Her passion for making things and fostering artistic expression leaves an indelible mark on the places she calls home.
