During this snowy season, during this love season, there is time to ponder the idea that there are over a dozen words for snow and only one word for love in English. In this generative writing workshop, participants will read model texts about love and explore their own love (and even hate) to generate ideas for their writing pieces. Love, desire, belonging, healing . . . If you seek it, you will be able to express some of those feelings in this workshop using several different prompts.
Participants will generate poems or pieces of prose to work with. Participants may share one or part of their pieces of writing in a small group if they are comfortable, and will receive positive and soft constructive criticism to foster their reflective revision processes.
$15 per person. Bring paper and a writing utensil.
