Alysia Mazzella is an artisan candle maker based in New York. From ancient civilizations to modern times, beeswax candle making is a craft with an impressive history. Learn how to make beeswax candles during this live workshop. Participants will practice the traditional technique of hand dipping, repeatedly dipping a cotton wick into molten beeswax. The candle’s width increases as each new layer of wax solidifies. Materials will be provided and participants will each take home their own pair of beeswax candles. For $10 more you can take home a second pair.
