Ode to Mothers: An Afternoon of Poetry

We were born.  We raised children. We grew grandkids, dogs, rabbits, birds . . . We have read tales about fairy godmothers.  We know what a mother is not. We certainly know what we want mothers to be.  We have all mothered in some way.

In celebration of Mother’s Day and of all those who mother, no matter who we are, come enjoy writers reading their work about being a mother of children, grandchildren, and fur babies, about having a mother, and about losing mothers.

Writers:  Allison Collins, Racheal Fest, Julia Suarez, Lisa Kelly, Lynne Kemen, Julene Waffle, Vicki Whicker, Lisa Wujnovich, and Teresa Winchester
