The Gatehouse Coffee & Mercantile is thrilled to team up with the Butternut Valley Arts & Crafts Center to bring more community-based arts education to Morris, NY!

We’re kicking things off with a 4-session Drawing Seminar led by Timothy Atticus—co-owner of The Gatehouse, and nationally recognized artist.

Timothy’s abstract paintings and drawings are celebrated worldwide, and now you’ll have the chance to learn directly from him in an intimate, hands-on seminar.

Sessions will feature Line, Design, Space and Light.

1. Perception of the Edge: Line as contact

2. Compositional Design: Organizing the Picture Plane

3. Perception of Space: Positive/Negative Shape

4: Logic of Light: Creating Volume through Value

All materials will be provided. Registration is limited and will be accorded on a first come basis.

$175 for 4 sessions, class meets at The Butternut Valley Arts and Crafts Center in Morris, NY, October 2, 9, 16, and 23, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m
