Plant Walk

Curious about the edible and medicinal plants that are growing in your neighborhood, fields and forests? Come learn about the wild plants in the area with local community herbalist and farmer AC Hill on the evening of Tuesday, July 8th at 4:30pm - 6:00pm starting from the Gatehouse Coffee Shop.

We will take a walk around the block and AC will point out plants that are some of her favorites to incorporate into the kitchen or medicine cabinet, and some of the abundant wild plants and trees of our area to help you get to know them. We will explore the area behind the fire house in the shady park along the stream, so we can enjoy the cool shady evening among fellow plant lovers and plant curious people. Tell your friends and mark your calendars. Bring along a notebook, pen, and clear tape if you'd like to start your own botanical plant identification journal and collect some of the abundant plants along the way to include.
