Join us at The Gatehouse for an afternoon of spoken word, shared stories, and poetic connection. We’re having a Poetry Reading and Open Mic hosted by Julene Waffle and the Bright Hill poets. You’re invited to listen, share, or both.

The theme is open, so bring whatever moves you—new work, old favorites, or something in progress. That said, if you’re inspired by the spirit of the weekend and want to explore what this country means to you—your roots, your heritage, your hopes or heartbreak—we welcome that, too.

Come early to sign up for a reading slot, or just bring your ears and an open heart. We will start with readings by the Bright Hill poets then open the mic to whomever wants to share. Let’s gather and make space for words that heal, challenge, celebrate, and connect.
