Treat your mom, treat a friend, or treat yourself to an afternoon of poetry, connection, and celebration. Join us at The Gatehouse the day before Mother’s Day for Poems for Spring, Poems for Mom — a cozy gathering of voices, verses, and community.

The first hour will feature local poets reading personal favorites from their collections, hosted by poet and artist Vicki Whicker. Settle in with a coffee and let the words flow — from heartfelt to humorous, reflective to radiant.

The second hour opens the mic to you. We welcome all poets — emerging, seasoned, or somewhere in between — to share their work. Sign up's will be at the event, first come, first to read. Each poet will have up to five minutes to share original work or a meaningful piece.
